Sensing Species

How can we communicate and connect with and think “with” botanicals? We created a little “cross-species party” and stepped out of the traditional club experience. We performed and involved people into a plant dance. By experiments with sound, we dived into the world of plants.

The gadget we created enabled us to express what could not be expressed by plants themselves. Touch created a sound response. Therefore sonification of touch was also a sonification of plants inner response. There was an installation, an exercise instruction video, and discussions.
